Exceeds the Standard
• Tiles are extremely well constructed.
• All edges and surfaces are smoothed, very few or no crumbs are evident.
• All six tiles are the same size and have a hole in the same place.
• All tiles have a carefully marked texture area from the upper left to the lower right corner.
• Tiles show great attention to detail that gives the piece a “finished, professional” look.
• No cracks or breaks are apparent.
• Clay has been dried carefully (not too fast) and all tiles are flat.
• Care, control, and quality craftsmanship is obvious and superior.
• Your name is clearly and neatly written on all six tiles.

Meets the Standard
• Tiles are well constructed.
• Most edges and surfaces are smoothed, very few or no crumbs are evident.
• All six tiles are close to the same size and have a hole.
• All tiles have a marked texture area from the upper left to the lower right corner.
• Tiles show attention to detail
• Few cracks or breaks are apparent.
• Not all tiles are flat.
• Care, control, and quality craftsmanship is clear.
• Your name is written on all six tiles, but is not neat.

Partially Meets the Standard
• Tiles are not well constructed.
• Edges and surfaces are not consistently smoothed; crumbs are evident.
• All six tiles are not the same size and holes are inconsistently placed.
• Not all tiles have a marked texture area from the upper left to the lower right corner.
• Tiles show lack of attention to detail.
• Cracks or breaks are apparent.
• Not all tiles are flat.
• Care, control, and quality craftsmanship is not clear.
• Your name is not clearly written on all tiles.

Does Not Meet the Standard
• Construction of the tiles is done haphazardly and/or is incomplete.
• Shows little or no attention to detail.
• Evidence of cracks or breaks is obvious.
• Care, control, and quality craftsmanship are clearly lacking.
• You have not written your name on all tiles.
